About Rainbow Helicopters – Waikiki Sunset Helicopter Tour
See Oahu glow beneath the colors of evening on a 50-minute helicopter flight above Waikiki and beyond. As the city settles into sunset, fly past the world-famous shoreline and Waikiki skyline before circling Diamond Head, where the last light of the day spreads across Honolulu in warm golden tones.
The journey continues over Hanauma Bay, Makapu'u Lighthouse, Oahu's windward coast, Lanikai Beach, the Ko'olau Mountains and Kaneohe Bay. From above, the island opens into a dramatic patchwork of turquoise water, green valleys and rugged cliffs, including Chinaman's Hat, Ka'a'awa Valley and remote Sacred Falls.
On the return toward the city, pass Dole Plantation and continue to Pearl Harbor for a twilight view of the USS Arizona Memorial. As the sun drops below the horizon, Honolulu's skyline is silhouetted against a broad sweep of sunset color.
This seasonal flight operates from October through January only.

Note: This helicopter tour is available as a Doors On and Doors Off version. Doors On means the flight will be with closed doors. Doors Off means there will be no doors in the way of your viewing pleasure. You can make your selection during the checkout process.

- Safety of flight is our primary concern. The operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or appear to be intoxicated. Intoxicated passengers will not fly and they will be charged in full.
- For doors off tours, jackets and/or sweatshirts, closed toe shoes, and hair ties are required. Long pants are recommended.
- When booking the doors off experience, your seat may or may not be directly adjacent to an open door.
- Only passengers weighing 80 lbs or more may fly with the door off in our Robinson R44 helicopter. Only passengers weighing 100 lbs or more may fly with the door off in our Airbus Astar helicopter.
- All passengers 24 months and older must purchase a full fare seat.
- For each guest weighing 250 pounds or more, a weight and balance fee is required to safely balance the aircraft. For guests weighing between 250-275 lbs, a fee in the amount of 50% of the seat price will be assessed after booking. For guests weighing 275 lbs or higher, an additional seat purchase will be assessed after booking.

- Meeting point: We are located in the Caste and Cooke Aviation building. Please park in the lot to the left across the street.
- Pickup: Meet at the designated start point.
